TECX provides technology solutions for web-hosting, network and system analysis as well as disaster recovery, penetration-testing, intrusion support and policy review.

WEB HOSTING
This is your low cost one-stop-shop for WWW Page Hosting. We have a full array of HTML and ASP/SQL development services as well as having two options for hosting for our clients' WWW sites.

Our WWW servers in Seattle, Washington use RAID disk subsystems and automatic monitoring. Aside from occasional "maintenance reboots" to ensure consistent performance our servers typically operate without downtime. Our Seattle network connectivity is linked via a 1.2mbit DSL line via Covad Communications. We also maintain a partnership with a large ISP in Moscow, Idaho. Their connectivity is balanced across several OC-3 links. All of this allows us to offer a low cost reliable WWW hosting.  Three/six/twelve month terms are required.

NETWORK & SYSTEM ANALYSIS

We specialize in building wired and wireless networks that meet your needs today and into the future. We don't believe in cutting corners when it comes to your network. We will focus on using today's or tomorrow's technology to keep you on track. We have developed partnerships with some of the best hardware vendors available, from industry leaders such as Netgear, Intel, Cisco, Microsoft, Ansel, and  3COM.

TECX can provide services to help your company set up an Internet-enabled network, connect an existing network or develop an Intranet.

PENETRATION-TESTING

Another aspect of complete security is the evaluation of your site's vulnerabilities and the extent of its' exposure to the Internet.

Tecx can help you by testing your site's total security. Our tests improve an administrator's awareness of their system's security problems in a cost-effective and efficient manner. This enables them to take the appropriate measures to implement complete network security.

Penetration Testing Services Include:

Initial Penetration Test
This means that we will assume the role of  the "hacker" and attempt to access your network from the outside. Or, if desired, we can go on-site and assume the role of "disgruntled employee."

Re-test

Quarterly or monthly testing, depending on your site's specific needs and requirements.

Evaluation Reports

Professional reports will follow the Penetration Testing, which an administrator can use to stay on top of possible network vulnerabilities. You can also use these reports as a reference for future system configurations.

INTRUSION SUPPORT

In the event that your site is hacked, TECX can help by collecting the data you need to catch and prosecute intruders, and can repair any damage caused by the attack, thus restoring your system.

We recognize that successful security requires not only detecting intruders, but utilizing all possible methods of deterring future attacks.  We can:

- Verify a suspected intrusion into your system

- Stop, or if desired limit the attacker by killing their activity

- Assess damages by identifying the compromised information

- Repair any damage caused by the attack and remove any "back doors" or "Trojan Horses" that the attacker may have installed.

- Assist you, at your request, in coordinating with all pertinent law enforcement agencies and notification     centers (e.g. FBI, CERT.)

- If feasible, track the attacker back to their own machine, which helps to both determine the nature of the break-in and to gather evidence to prosecute the attacker.

POLICY and CODE REVIEW

Beyond simply testing for proper implementation, it is also necessary to evaluate the risks of specific network security designs. TECX evaluates your current or proposed configuration from a network-wide security perspective and works closely with you to recommend and install improvements.

Complex software systems often contain security holes for a variety of reasons. Programmers are often unaware of security considerations, software may have been pieced together by several programmers over long periods of time, or a software system may have been modified to perform a security-related task it wasn't originally designed for. Each of these problems can lead to deeply hidden yet dangerous security holes. TECX evaluates your code line by line and as a whole using our proprietary tools and a variety of by-hand analysis techniques. We provide you with a list of security holes and their impact, or, if desired, a patched source code with the fixes incorporated
