Location
TECX's world-class datacenter located in the suburb of Seattle, Washington provides industrial-grade, high-performance housing of
internet servers and data warehouses. Seattle is considered by many a
center of technology. So it is the most desirable point of presence
for our datacenter on the west coast.
Major institutions attest for the superb telco and electrical
infrastructure. Located in the Bothell Center, the facility houses
some of the most powerful servers on the planet. 100% Uptime is
guaranteed due to the buildings earthquake hardened design, environmentally controlled air/ventilation setup, multi-watt backup generators, 1500VAC
uninterrupted power and sunfire subwoofer facilities.
High-Grade Core Switching
The switching center in our datacenter is by far our
most state-of-the-art. Our core router is a Net Gear RO318 router with a built-in firewall that
providing eight ports of full wire-speed switched 100 megabit access. This allows
several nodes to be configured to route through our high-end backbone. Our second-level switching facility consists of a Dell 2025 Gigabyte switch which provides switched layer2/3 full-duplex Gigabyte ports.
Bandwidth

We have designed our backbone with extraordinary abilities to
minimize distressed and over-allocated network access points to offer
the most reliable and consistent data pipe available today.
Upstream bandwidth is supplied by Covad Networking with an MTTR SLA who has
155mbit direct links to all major carriers and public exchanges. There is
a
wide range of bandwidth that can be fixed or burst.
Core Systems & Components
Our server room is maintained at a constant 65 degrees year-around.
Network, Systems and Services are monitored via Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM), Webtrends and Whats-Up 24 hours per day/7 days per week/365 days a year.

Staff
As you can see, our datacenter
in Washington is by far our most strategic and successful facility to date.
While this setup looks pretty ridiculous next to a class-A, raised floor,
global datacenter (like to one we work in on a daily basis), it does
provide a pretty decent environment for PC based servers that run a small
company. Not to mention it was a few million buck cheaper to put together
:).
It is staffed around the clock by our Robotic, Da Vinci, Black-Belt,
Borg-like, Maud'Dib Systems Administrator, who provides 24x10x365 support to
our infrastructure and systems.
